Last week's Power Rankings from CBS Sports, written by the always entertaining (if very rarely coherent) Pete Prisco, was one of the listings that had the Minnesota Vikings pegged as the worst team in the National Football League. Now, you know it's not true, and I know it's not true, but that's where they were.
However, after their win on Sunday, the Vikings pretty much had to go upward, and that's exactly where they've gone in CBS Sports' Week 6 NFL Power Rankings. The Vikings have gone up five spots in these rankings as well, moving from 32 all the way up to number 27.
Like so many others, Prisco chooses to state the obvious about the Vikings.
Nothing like a lifeless Cardinals team to help you get your fist victory. I still think Donovan McNabb needs to sit down.
Yes, Pete. . .you and basically everyone else that follows the National Football League and isn't named Leslie Frazier. I'm not sure which direction the Vikings are going to go with the quarterback position, but this will be the only season of the Donovan McNabb era in Minnesota. Of that, we can be fairly certain.
