Week 6 NFL Power Rankings: ESPN Gives The Vikings A Four-Spot Bump

The folks from Bristol, Connecticut have given the Vikings another upward push in their Week 6 NFL Power Rankings. Minnesota came in at number 30 after their loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 4, but their Week 5 victory over the Arizona Cardinals has compelled the ESPN folks to move Minnesota up to #26 this week.

Again wanting to state the obvious, ESPN's John Clayton adroitly points out that Adrian Peterson is really awesome, but the Minnesota Vikings' passing offense is pretty terrible.

Adrian Peterson can almost outgain the Vikings' passing attack if given the chance.

He probably could, but it would probably take him a while. After all, Peterson is only averaging 4.6 yards per carry, while Donovan McNabb has somehow managed to find a way to average 6.4 yards per pass attempt. Given enough carries, Peterson could probably do it, but I'm not sure Leslie Frazier is inclined to go that way.
