With a potential quarterback controversy looming between Donovan McNabb and Christian Ponder there is a lot of consternation looming with the 1-5 Minnesota Vikings. After a 39-10 blowout loss in NFC North play on national television to the Bears, the Vikings stayed near the bottom in Joel Thorman's SB Nation NFL Power Rankings:

29. Minnesota Vikings (1-5, LW: 29): Is the Christian Ponder era starting? Through one quarter of work, I would say Ponder > Donovan McNabb.

Minnesota is the lowest rated team in the NFL that has won a game. They are ranked ahead of only the Colts, Dolphins and Rams, who all remain winless through six weeks of play. the prospects of moving up also look very grim with the No. 1 rated and defensing Super Bowl champion Green Bay Packers coming to town this week. Minnesota must play the Packers twice in their next three games, but at least there is a bye week scheduled in there as well as a game against the Carolina Panthers.
