Well, that wasn't smart. Vikings running back Adrian Peterson was cited for not wearing his seat belt on Monday in Eden Prairie. He was driving his white Land Rover, (which is awesome, by the way), and was cited during a statewide "Click It or Ticket" push. According to TwinCities.com, Peterson was stopped at 3:03 p.m. along with a group of more than 30 other drivers at the corner of Prarie Center Drive and Columbine Road, and given a $25 citation that could go up to $100 after administrative fees.
↵So obviously, he's hurting for money. Or, more accurately, time:
↵↵↵Noodle&Company sounds nice right about now! Unfortunately as of now I'm delayed. I'm to blame!!!Make sure you wear ur seat belt at all time
↵
He wasn't pulled over for any other reason, just the fact that the officers saw he wasn't wearing a seat belt. Nothing against Peterson, I've just always felt that not wearing it is rather foolish and also that, during those "Click It or Ticket" drives, the fees should go way up. And there should be punitive damages, too! To keep stars like him in like. $25 damage assessed with $8 million in punitive, hell yes!
↵Or not, but you know.
