Vikings Regain Lead With Longwell Field Goal

After forcing a three and out on the Chiefs’ opening drive, the Vikings took advantage of good field position after a late hit penalty on Kansas City on a Marcus Sherels punt return.

Percy Harvin and Adrian Peterson were responsible for the vast majority of the yardage as the Vikings got back to the Red Zone. The drive stalled when Donovan McNabb threw well behind Harvin on third down, but Ryan Longwell knocked through a 33-yard field goal to give the Vikings some points.

The Vikings lead again, 10-9 with just over nine minutes remaining in the third quarter.
