Is Donovan McNabb Lazy? Minnesota Vikings Coach Leslie Frazier Says No

Donovan McNabb is no longer the starting quarterback for the Minnesota Vikings and won't be for the rest of the NFL season, barring any unforeseen circumstances, as the Christian Ponder era has began. The reports that McNabb lost the job because he was lazy, however, are apparently false.

For those that missed it, NFL.com's Michael Lombardi all but said McNabb was a bad idea for Minnesota when he wrote that McNabb "does not seem to want to put in the time, willing to show up late for meetings and practice, and expects to just play well."

Frazier disputes that report, though, calling it "ridiculous".

Ridiculous. Flat-out ridiculous. I don't know where that would come from. I mean, this guy worked his tail off when he was the starting quarterback, staying after practice, throwing balls with receivers. When I heard about that, "Wow, where would that come from?"

It's good to see that Frazier is still sticking up for his quarterback, but it's tough to say that McNabb was really prepared for the season considering the disappointing outcome.
