Vikings' Brian Robison Fined $20,000 For Kick

Well, it looks like all punches and kicks aren't created equal, unless Brian Robison has previous groin kicks or really, fines of any kind. He's been fined $20,000 by the NFL and will have to pay it as soon as possible. The NFL is adamant that punches and kicks are viewed the same way, so it begs the question: was Robison fined more than the usual amount due to the location of the kick?

Charles Woodson was fined $10,000 earlier this season for throwing a punch, but Robison gets the $20K? Not all fines in the NFL are publicized, so I suppose it's possible that Robison has had past incidents where he's punched and or kicked other players. Or, did the NFL consider the kick worse because of where the kick was, how you say, aimed? Robison was given a 15-yard penalty, but he was not ejected (according to ESPN, a punch and or kick are not grounds for immediate ejection).
