The Minnesota Vikings are trying to salvage what has been a fairly dismal season so far. If they want to turn things around, they'll have to start this week against the Carolina Panthers, whose 2-5 record isn't really anything to write home about, either.

According to our friends over at OddsShark, the line on this game opened with the Vikings as four point underdogs. Even with injuries that may limit Adrian Peterson and Percy Harvin on Sunday, their odds have actually improved slightly over the past week, with Bodog, Top Bet, and OddsMaker giving Carolina a 3.5 point spread, and the rest of the board having the Panthers as only 3 point favorites.

The over/under for this game is steady at between 47.5 and 48. The small advantage in odds for the home team this week makes sense for how evenly matched these teams appear to be on paper. This may end up being one of the hardest games to call for Week 8.
