No one envies facing the undefeated defending Super Bowl champions on their home field, but that is the task the Minnesota Vikings face this week on Monday Night Football. the Vikings come off of their bye week well out of the playoff hunt at 2-6, but encouraged that they gave the Green Bay Packers quite a game a few weeks ago in Minneapolis. Even with that game, the Vikings are still a heavy 14.5 point underdog this week against Green Bay:
Head to head, the Vikings have an advantage at an 8-3 ATS clip in 11 meetings with Green Bay, but the Packers are 3-1 ATS in the past four as Aaron Rodgers and company begin their domination of the division.
The Vikings only lost 33-27 a few weeks ago in Christian Ponder's first career start. Ponder showed confidence and poise in leading the Vikings offense, but the defense failed to stop Green Bay when necessary.
