When you have a running back like the Minnesota Vikings' Adrian Peterson, you don't need to wonder if you should start him in fantasy -- you start him every day and twice on Sundays (if you can get away with that). Of course, just because the odds that Peterson is going to get 'his' are always pretty good, that doesn't stop owners from wondering exactly what kind of output he'll produce on a weekly basis.
According to Numberfire.com, a fantasy projections site, Peterson will pick up just under 16 points for your team this week in Lambeau against the Packers on Monday Night Football.
Peterson ran for 175 yards and a touchdown against the Packers in Minnesota during Week 7. The Packers are one of the 10 teams in the NFL that Peterson averages over 100 yards rushing against throughout his career (109 yards per game) and in nine career games vs. the Packers, he also has six touchdowns.
The Packers run defense has allowed running games over 20 points in five of their eight games this year and have yet to to hold a running game under 15 points. They've been better against the run at home and maybe they're due to completely shut down an opposing team's running game, but you'd be a fool to bet that it'll be against Adrian Peterson.
