Vikings Vs. Packers: Upset Would Give Minnesota Fans Hope

The Minnesota Vikings are in Wisconsin for their game against the Green Bay Packers on Monday Night Football. There are six wins separating the two NFC North rivals, but that doesn't mean the game doesn't matter to the Minnesota fans.

The Vikings and Packers have played quite a few tremendous games in the past. If the Vikings are able to end the Packers' hopes of an undefeated season, it would at least be a step in the right direction for those supporting the team led by Adrian Peterson and Christian Ponder.

However, no matter where the Vikings stand at the end of the season, an upset victory over the Packers would be a tremendous lift for a team that has struggled to make their 2011 season relevant. Not only would it help make the season relevant, it would infuse the team and the fan base with some much needed hope.

Hope is great, but winning would be better.

It remains to be seen what is going to happen on Monday night, but odds are plenty of people in the midwest are going to be tuning in to cheer on their team.
