Vikings At Packers Score Update: Adrian Peterson Puts Minnesota On The Board

At the very least, the Minnesota Vikings won't get shut out this evening at Lambeau Field.

After what appeared to be a three-and-out for Minnesota, Chris Kluwe punted one in the direction of Randall Cobb. Cobb was thinking about running before he caught the ball, and muffed the return to put it on the ground. A member of the Vikings fell on it, and Minnesota was in business inside the Green Bay red zone.

From there, it took just two plays. The first play was an 11-yard flip to Percy Harvin to put the Vikings at the Green Bay 3-yard line, and Adrian Peterson took it in from there for his tenth rushing touchdown of the season. The score cut the deficit for the Vikings to 24-7.

Peterson has just 43 yards rushing, but fantasy players should be happy that their man found the end zone anyway.

Of course, Cobb has redeemed himself by returning the ensuing kickoff 67 yards, so it's entirely possible the Vikings might find themselves down by more again.

But, for now, with 8:41 left in the third quarter, the Minnesota Vikings trail the Green Bay Packers, 24-7.
