Another loss has lowered the Minnesota Vikings even more in this week's SB Nation NFL Power Rankings. The uncertainty with Adrian Peterson's ankle is another reason the Vikings are struggling with six weeks left in the season. Joel Thorman has the Vikings at the No. 31 spot, ahead of only the Colts:

31. Minnesota Vikings (2-8, LW: 30): With games coming up against the Falcons, Lions, Saints and Bears, it's only going to get worse.

The prospects for another win this season for Minnesota look very dire at this point. Only the Denver Broncos and their extremely one-dimensional offense and the Washington Redskins remain on the schedule as the best chances for Minnesota to get a victory. As Peterson struggled with a sprained ankle the Vikings are forced to go with backup Toby Gerhart. The good news is that rookie Christian Ponder will have plenty of opportunities to grow within the offense as the season winds down.
