Madden NFL Roster Update: Week 9 Sees Four Vikings Increase

The Week 9 roster update for EA's Madden NFL 12 is set to come out on Friday for Xbox 360 and PS3 users. For the Minnesota Vikings, they've got a list of changes that include seven ratings changes, for better or for worse, and nine changes overall. We've got a list of changes and the Vikings come out +1 in the update, with four players going up and three players going down.

Of note is Adrian Peterson re-gaining the vaunted 99 overall rating, going up a point from 98. It's been more of an exclusive club this year, with some seemingly worthy players (Patrick Willis, Jared Allen) not getting the rating. Either way, Peterson deserves every bit of the rating. Make the jump for a list of Vikings changes.

Increases

QB Christian Ponder 75 to 76
HB Adrian Peterson 98 to 99
LB Erin Henderson 74 to 75
S Husain Abdullah 78 to 80

Decreases

DL Remi Ayodele 75 to 73
DL Kevin Williams 97 to 95
CB Cedric Griffin 81 to 79

Changes

WR Kerry Taylor signs
OL Btuch Lewis added to the game

Everything here appears to be warranted. Ponder needs to keep up his strong play and if he does, he'll continue to march up the rankings. An average-to-good quarterback seems to be rated around an 80 in this year's game, so you can expect Ponder to get weekly increases if he plays well and few decreases if he slips up.
