The Minnesota Vikings are missing their offensive leader with Adrian Peterson listed as inactive, but the Detroit Lions have their own running back issues to deal with and now Kevin Smith has been listed for Sunday's game as the team tries to give Smith's aggravating ankle injury a chance to heal with a week off. With Jahvid Best already out for the season, veteran Maurice Morris will take the bulk of the load at running back for the Lions.
Also, rookie defensive tackle Nick Fairley's on-and-off season is back in the off position. After playing in the last four games, Fairley is back on the inactive list with a left foot injury. The Lions defensive line is already thin with Ndamukong Suh still suspended by the NFL and not available this week.
Here is the full inactive list for the Lions.
