The Minnesota Vikings are obviously in a very disappointing season, but after their spirited loss to the Detroit Lions on Sunday they are still better off than a few teams in the league according to SB Nation's Joel Thorman. Thorman has the Vikings at No. 30 in this week's NFL Power Rankings:

30. Minnesota Vikings (2-11, LW: 30): It's not a good thing when your starter (Christian Ponder) is benched and the backup (Joe Webb) looks better.

Webb, of course, is the third quarterback used by Minnesota this season as they try to rebuild for the future. The Vikings likely won't have a great chance to move out of the No. 30 position this week as they face the No. 2 rated New Orleans Saints. The No. 27 Redskins will likely present the best chance for Minnesota to earn a victory this season. Unfortunately, it is on the road, where Minnesota is 1-6 on the season.
