Minnesota Vikings 2011 NFL Draft: Vikings Trade Out Of Second Fifth-Round Pick

The Minnesota Vikings now have four picks in the sixth round of the 2011 National Football League Draft.

After selecting Utah CB Brandon Burton at #139, the Vikings traded the 150th overall selection to the Cleveland Browns for a pair of sixth-round selections, picks #168 and #170 overall.

That means that the Vikings now have four sixth-round selections in this 2011 NFL Draft. They have #168 and #170 in the trade just completed with Cleveland, #172 as their own selection, and #200 as a compensatory selection.

The Browns used the 150th overall pick to select Pittsburgh offensive lineman Jason Pinkston.

It looks like the Vikings see some values that will potentially fall into the sixth round, and in their efforts to get younger and try to fill some holes, they've decided to accumulate picks so they can grab those players later on.

Whoever it is that they select, we'll have news about it both here and at The Daily Norseman. Check both sites for the latest news on the Minnesota Vikings' 2011 NFL Draft.
