The folks from EA Sports are having a bit of a tournament to determine which NFL player will grace the cover of the next installment of their Madden franchise, and Minnesota Vikings' running back Adrian Peterson has advanced to the final eight in that tournament.
↵Peterson defeated Chicago Bears' defensive end Julius Peppers in the opening round of the tournament, and then pulled off an upset of San Diego Chargers' quarterback Philip Rivers in the second round. His opponent in the upcoming round of voting is New Orleans Saints' quarterback Drew Brees, who was on the cover of this past year's version of Madden.
↵The winner of the match-up between Brees and Peterson will take on either Philadelphia Eagles' quarterback Michael Vick or San Francisco 49ers linebacker Patrick Willis. The other four players remaining are Patriots' running back Danny Woodhead, Browns' running back Peyton Hillis, Chiefs' running back Jamaal Charles, and some guy that absolutely nobody cares about.
↵Voting will run for the rest of this week, so depending on how strongly you believe in the "Madden Curse," go vote for Adrian Peterson. . .or against him.
