Get Your Very Own Piece Of The Metrodome Roof

It has served as the home of the Minnesota Twins, the Minnesota Vikings, and countless other sporting events over the course of its nearly thirty-year history. Now, for anybody that feels the desire to do so, they can take a piece of that home with them into their home.

Yes, the Minneapolis Sports Facilities Commission is offering tours of the Metrodome, where people will be allowed to see the inner workings of the building, including the team locker rooms, as well as see the stadium suites and see how the progress is coming on the new roof.

↵

Oh, and the first 2,000 people that take this tour will get a special gift. . .a piece of the old Metrodome roof that collapsed on December 12 because of heavy snowfall.

↵

The price of the tour is only four dollars, and said tours depart from Gate F at the Metrodome on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. I believe the tours operate on a first come, first serve basis, so be sure to get there a little early if you want to go on the tour.
