Lions At Vikings: Detroit Adds Three More, Score Now 20-10

This is starting to look all too familiar for the Minnesota Vikings.

After their second straight three-and-out, the Lions once again started near midfield, and once again moved down the field with little resistance from Minnesota. A pass from Matthew Stafford to Brandon Pettigrew put the Lions all the way down at the Vikings' 4-yard line, but the defense stiffened up from there. Jared Allen stopped running back Maurice Morris for a 3-yard loss, and Brian Robison sacked Stafford for a ten-yard loss on second down. After a short pass to Calvin Johnson, the Lions had to settle for a field goal attempt from Jason Hanson. Hanson was good from 28 yards out, and the Vikings lead is now half of what it was at 20-10.

With 3:14 left in the third quarter of play, the Vikings are having a rough go of it in the second half, but they still lead the Detroit Lions by ten points. We will have to see whether or not they can hold on to this lead.
