Yes, ladies and gentlemen, it happened.
Again.
The Vikings raced out to a huge halftime lead, this time by 20 points. The offense was, once again, humming along, and things were looking good for Minnesota.
And then, for the third time in three weeks, the team completely fell apart after halftime, winding up in an overtime situation with the Detroit Lions. The Lions wasted no time in the extra frame, taking only five plays to go 59 yards in less than two minutes, ending up with a 26-23 victory over the Vikings.
The Vikings have outscored their opponents 54-7 in the first half of three games this season. They have been outscored in the second half by a total of 67-6.
You really had to see this one with your own eyes to believe it, ladies and gentlemen. We'll have more on this one over the next couple of days, but for now. . .well, I don't think Viking fans want to talk too much about it at the moment.
