All apologies for getting our weekly spin around the internet's NFL Power Rankings underway a little later than usual, ladies and gentlemen. Of course, when your season has been going the way it has for the Minnesota Vikings thus far, you're not exactly as excited as a kid on Christmas morning to go and discover what the pundits have to say about them. Never the less, we have to do just that, so let's get it underway.
We start, as we usually do, with the Week 4 Power Rankings from the folks at the mothership at SB Nation. In their rankings, the Vikings are as far down as a team can be. . .literally. This week, Joel Thorman has put the Beloved Purple at number 32 in his Power Rankings.
(For the mathematically challenged, there are only 32 NFL teams. That means the Vikings are dead last.)
Here's what the commentary has to say:
Three games, three double digit leads in the first half and three losses. If they lose next week against the Chiefs -- as a road favorite -- they'll have earned this spot.
Yes, the Vikings are actually favored on the road this Sunday at Kansas City. The Chiefs, for the record, are at number 30 in this week's SB Nation Rankings. The Vikings/Chiefs game on Sunday is the only match-up in the NFL this week that features two winless teams.
