The Minnesota Vikings didn't move down very far in the Week 4 NFL Power Rankings from the folks at SI.com. Of course, since they started out at number 28, they didn't have that far down to go. But, Don Banks has moved the Vikings down one spot in his most recent rankings to number 29.
What did Banks have to say about the Vikings?
Leslie Frazier said he won't replace Donovan McNabb with rookie Christian Ponder, but the team will look to help the veteran quarterback with "mechanical issues" that might be contributing to McNabb short-hopping the ball on some passes. Really? McNabb has been short-hopping a few passes for about 12 or 13 years now in the NFL, so I don't think a late-career fix is going to be found. Just ask any Eagles fan about McNabb drilling a few worms over the years. They'll tell you.
Yes, I personally think it's a little bit crazy to ask a guy that's been in the league as long as Donovan McNabb has to suddenly change his mechanics. McNabb is what we thought he was. . .not terribly accurate. Hopefully he can find a little more accuracy this Sunday against Kansas City.
