2012 NFL Mock Draft: Vikings May Draft Defense At No. 3 Overall

The Minnesota Vikings' secondary was regularly shredded in 2011, but with the No. 3 overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft it looks like Minnesota will try to address that issue. SB Nation's first mock draft has been published, and it has the Vikings picking LSU cornerback Morris Claiborne to provide immediate relief to the pass defense:

3. Minnesota Vikings: Morris Claiborne, CB, LSU

The second or third picks in the draft will be valuable real estate, depending on what decision Robert Griffin III makes. If the Vikings do keep this pick, they have several options. They could sure use an offensive tackle, but Claiborne is a better player than the two top tackles behind Kalil on the draft board. He also fills a big need for the Vikes.

Robert Griffin III would be an interesting selection if he decides to turn pro, as the vikings invested a first round selection at quarterback in Christian Ponder last season.
