NFL Mock Draft 2012: Vikings Likely To Trade Or Pick Justin Blackmon If Matt Kalil Not Available

USC offensive tackle prospect Matt Kalil continues to be a favorite pick for the Minnesota Vikings with their third overall picks, especially with the numerous mock drafts that have the Cleveland Browns trading up to the second overall pick to take Robert Griffin III. That essentially drops Kalil right into the Vikings lap since the St. Louis Rams won't have a shot at picking Kalil away from Minnesota.

Walterfootball's latest mock draft has the same thought to it, with the Cleveland Browns taking RGIII with the second overall pick and giving the Rams the fourth pick. He does tack on a little 'what if' clause on the end though.

In the event that the Rams can't trade their pick and Matt Kalil is not available, I believe the Vikings would take Justin Blackmon. Of course, they could move this selection themselves...

Justin Blackmon ends up going to the Rams fourth overall in that draft, and the idea of the Vikings trading their pick is certainly nothing new. If someone offers a good player package or bundle of draft selections, don't be surprised if the pick doesn't belong to Minnesota in the end.
