So you're hosting a party for the Super Bowl at your place? Or perhaps your friend is having one but he's requesting you help with the food situation? There's plenty of relatively simple recipes out there that will be crowd pleasers for your party and are relatively easy to put together. Salsa is always a crowd favorite for the big game. It's relatively easy to make, it's really easy to make a whole lot of it and it's easy as well to make customized salsas depending on your tastes and the tastes of your guests. It can also be a healthy alternative to other favorites like pizza or buffalo wings. The recipe below is for one batch of a fresh salsa, which will fill about a 1/2 quart cup. It's easy to buy the ingredients in bulk from your local market and throw together big amounts of it if you've got a good food processor. Making home made salsa rather than buying a giant tub of it at the store has the added bonus of being healthy for you and tasting far fresher. Buy several bags of chips and set them out next to it and you're good. When you're done you can always tub it up and give it to a health-conscious friend as well rather than having the jar of it sit in your pantry until next year's party when you'll pull it out again.
