At 6-4, Minnesota is in the thick of the NFC playoff picture, but the Vikings are trying not to look too far ahead and instead are focused on only their next opponent.
Minnesota has a number of key games coming up, including two against the Chicago Bears and another against the Green Bay Packers. The Vikings are chasing both teams in the NFC North, but defensive end Jared Allen said the team is only focused on their next game.
The Vikings travel to face Chicago this week and Allen said the Bears are the only game the players are worried about. Being in the middle of a playoff race with just six games remaining, it would be easy for players to look ahead at the schedule or what other teams are doing, but Vikings head coach Leslie Frazier said he's talked to the team about narrowing the focus on only the next game.
In addition to games against the Bears and Packers, Minnesota will also face the St. Louis Rams and Houston Texans.
