Though he still remains hopeful that he can suit up on Sunday against the rival Chicago Bears, Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Percy Harvin was not a participant at Wednesday's practice, according to the team's initial Week 12 injury report.
Harvin continues to nurse an ankle injury that he aggravated against Seattle on Nov. 4, and hopes to avoid sitting out his second consecutive game this weekend. While Minnesota's bye week in Week 11 looks to have afforded Harvin plenty of time to recover, the coaching staff plans to take it easy with their versatile offensive weapon this week to avoid rushing him back too quickly.
Also listed on Minnesota's injury report due to a shoulder injury, Pro Bowl defensive end Jared Allen was one of the team's four limited participants at Wednesday's practice. Allen was joined by defensive tackle Letroy Guion, wide receiver Michael Jenkins and cornerback Antoine Winfield in a limited capacity to kick off the week.
