NFL schedule 2012: Vikings visit Rams

The loser of the Vikings versus Rams game will have a difficult road to the playoffs.

The Minnesota Vikings will visit the St. Louis Rams on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET in a game with significant playoff implications.

At 7-6 on the year, the Vikings are tied with the Washington Redskins and Dallas Cowboys for seventh in the conference, one game behind the Chicago Bears and Seattle Seahawks who are both 8-5. The Rams at 6-6-1 on the year and are just behind the Vikings in the standings. The Bears and Seahawks currently hold the final two playoff positions in the NFC.

The Bears will play the Packers this week while the Seahawks play the Bills in Buffalo.
