Recovered from the illness that kept him out of action to begin the week, Minnesota Vikings defensive end Jared Allen was back on the practice field Thursday as a full participant.
Allen was named to his fifth career Pro Bowl on Wednesday, and was one of seven Minnesota players to fill out the team's official Week 17 injury report. In addition to Allen, punter Chris Kluwe, tackle Phil Loadholt and cornerback Marcus Sherels all practiced fully despite dealing with minor injuries.
Two players, tailback Adrian Peterson and cornerback Antoine Winfield, did not take part in Thursday's practice. Peterson will attempt to resume his quest for the NFL rushing record this weekend despite an abdomen issue, but he was given Thursday off to stay fresh. Winfield, who has been afforded an increasing rest pattern over recent weeks, broke his right index finger in Week 16 but still vows to play this Sunday.
