Former Vikings Cris Carter And Randy Moss At Odds Over Comeback

The Minnesota Vikings have had two really great wide receivers play for them in recent history. Unfortunately, however, they can't get along in the present.

Randy Moss and Cris Carter locked horns Tuesday morning after the latter, currently serving as an analyst on ESPN, criticized Moss following the news of his decision to try and make a comeback. Carter opined that Moss might be in alright shape, but he told Mike & Mike listeners that there are other things one has to worry about when signing Moss.

"And Randy, not like any other superstar I've met, he has more quit in him than any of those other players. So I need to address that. That's what [New England Patriots coach Bill] Belichick did when he brought him over from Oakland. He told him he wasn't going to have it.

"But Randy, when things don't go well, like no other player I've ever been around or associated with, he has a quit mechanism in him that's huge. That needs to be addressed before he signs with any team."

Those aren't kind words from the future Hall of Famer and, unsurprisingly, Mossed lashed out at him with a response via Twitter.

Moss didn't exactly take the high road, but that's probably to be expected considering what Carter had to say. The enigmatic wide receiver didn't deny what Carter had to say either, though, adding a different possible twist to the story.

It'll be interesting to see where exactly this leads, but let's all just hope Jake Reed resurfaces and makes everything right again!
