Randy Moss Comeback To The Minnesota Vikings Probably Won't Happen

The Minnesota Vikings employed Randy Moss twice during his NFL career. They apparently won't attempt to see if a third time's the charm, though, despite the enigmatic receiver's recent announcement that he plans to make a comeback after retiring prior to last season.

Moss trails only Cris Carter as the Vikings all-time leader in all of the major receiving categories and, despite their apparent issues with one another, Moss apparently won't get the chance to surpass the all-time great. Vikings general manager Rick Spielman made that clear in an interview this week.

"We'll be moving on," Spielman said today during an interview to discuss the draft, free agency and next week's scouting combine. "Randy was a great player, but we'll focus more on trying to get a younger team."

This was probably assumed by fans throughout the midwest, but at least now it's official.
