The Denver Broncos have reportedly decided to trade Tim Tebow now that they have secured the services of former Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning. This is huge news as far as the NFL is concerned, but likely doesn't change anything for the Minnesota Vikings.
That was the initial indication, anyway, but the Bob Sansevere brought up an interesting point regarding the possibility of the Vikings trading for Tebow in his column on Monday afternoon.
Tebow would be a perfect fit for the Minnesota Vikings ... if he could run a 4.3 40, switch to cornerback and cover wide receivers the way Deion Sanders once did. Otherwise, the Vikings shouldn't go near the phone to inquire about his availability.
Tebow made some nice plays at opportune times, but much of his success was because of the Broncos' defense. In Minnesota, there would be no such defense to help him and bail him out.
Okay, so a Tebow trade to Minnesota probably won't happen. Confirmed.
