The Minnesota Vikings will host Notre Dame wide receiver Michael Floyd and Alabama cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick on predraft visits sometime next week, according to the St. Paul Pioneer Press Vikings blog.
Neither are expected to be realistic options when the Vikings select third overall, but the Vikings might be looking to trade back if they can find a willing partner. If that’s the case, Floyd and Kirkpatrick could be attractive options. Both are considered by many analysts to be the second-best prospects at their respective positions.
Minnesota also held a private workout with Memphis defensive tackle Dontari Poe. Poe is praised for his versatility and is expected to be off the board somewhere in the middle to late first round.
