Round 3 Mock Draft: Walterfootball Gives Receiver To Minnesota

After a superbly solid first round that saw the Minnesota Vikings pick up a potential franchise left tackle Matt Kalil and a solid secondary member in Harrison Smith, they don't have a pick in the second round. They'll still get some action going on day two of the 2012 NFL draft though, holding the third pick in the third round.

Walterfootball released a revamped mock draft after the results of Day 1, with the Vikings taking another offensive player in Round 3. They put another weapon for Christian Ponder in Minnesota, Iowa wide receiver Marvin McNutt.

The Vikings did a great job of finding someone to protect Christian Ponder. Now, they'll need to give their quarterback someone to throw to.

With no Round 2 pick the Vikings need to get extra value out of their later picks. Fortunately, they have plenty to go around.
