Vikings LB Chad Greenway Expected To Be At Mini-Camp On Tuesday

Minnesota Vikings linebacker Chad Greenway is expected to be present when the team opens mini-camp Tuesday. Greenway has missed much of the Vikings' Organized Team Activities this offseason so that he could spend time in South Dakota with his father Alan Greenway who has fallen ill.

According to a report by KELO Television in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Alan is battling cancer and will be admitted to hospice care. As long as no unforeseen event occurs, Greenway will be in attendance Tuesday.

Via ESPN 1500:

an NFL source said Monday that the current plan is for Greenway to be at Winter Park on Tuesday for the opening of the team's minicamp. Of course, if Alan Greenway takes a turn for the worse that could change.

Vikings head coach Leslie Frazier already said last week that if Greenway is unable to attend the mandatory three-day mini-camp next that his absence will be considered excused.
