Vikings Training Camp: Players Ready To Start Playing With Pads

The training camps for NFL teams have been going for a little while now, and it's about the time to start getting the pads on for some 100 percent play. The Vikings will start playing with their pads on Monday and the players are excited, specifically the players on the offensive and defensive lines. As Brian Robison told the Star Tribune, line players need to have the pads to do their full arsenal of moves:

"You limit yourself with no pads. There are only so many things you can do, especially from a pass rush standpoint. You can't really affect an offensive tackle with your bull rush or your power moves, things like that. At the same time, as an offensive tackle, you can't really jump-set or things like that. But once the pads get on, it's open arsenal. And it's time to prove what you bring."

Players can always look forward to having their pads on so that everyone can start going at full throttle at each other and fully start to get ready for the games in the regular season against full competition.

Fans can enjoy pads getting put on as well, it means that we're just that much closer to the start of the regular season.
