Vikings Push Back Week 5 Start Time

The Minnesota Vikings announced on Friday that they will move the start time for their Week 5 game against the visiting Tennessee Titans from Noon to 3:45 p.m. local time. Pushing back the start time prevents a conflict with the annual Twin Cities Marathon which goes that morning, Oct. 7.

The first four games of the season are all Noon starts for the Vikings. In Week 6, they start their game against the Redskins, in Washington, at 3:25 p.m. The week after that, the Vikings play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in a Thursday night game on the NFL Network, which is the team's only prime time game on the schedule. That could still chance as the league uses flex scheduling in the final stretch of the season, bumping games it believes will generate higher prime time ratings.
