The Minnesota Vikings (2-1) are coming off an impressive and unexpected win over the San Francisco 49ers in Week 3, but oddsmakers listed them as early six-point underdogs to the Detroit Lions (1-2) for Week 4. Only one site (BetOnline) has updated the point spread since the opening line was posted, and on that site the Vikings have shifted to four-and-a-half-point dogs.
The Lions are 0-3 against the spread so far this season, while the Vikings are 1-2. Minnesota has held opposing offenses to just 209.0 passing yards per game so far in 2012 (9th in the NFL), but they will face a big test against Calvin Johnson and the No. 1 passing offense in the NFL (334.0 yards per game), especially if Matthew Stafford (hamstring) is anywhere close to 100 percent.
