Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson has to get hit on his legs at some point before the team can get him back on the field for extended reps in games, and it appears the real hitting on Peterson is now taking place.
Peterson still cannot be hit below the waist, but he will absorb more contact.

Peterson is coming back from reconstructive knee surgery and is expected to be limited against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, if he even plays.
The limitations on how much Peterson can be hit have been removed.
Peterson has been practicing for three weeks since being activated off of the PUP list. A decision might not come until just before game time on Sunday.
