Vikings vs. Packers 2013, NFC Wild Card playoffs game preview

The Packers and Vikings will meet on Saturday for the rubber match from Lambeau Field.

USA TODAY Sports

After knocking off the Packers to clinch a wild card spot, the Vikings will now have to go on the road for a rematch against Green Bay on Saturday.

Minnesota and Green Bay will play for a third time this season, this time for the right to advance to the divisional round of the playoffs. The two teams split their season meetings with Green Bay winning 23-14 in Week 13 before Minnesota won 37-34 on Sunday.

While the Vikings are coming off a win against the Packers, they will face a tough test going on the road. The Packers were 7-1 at home this season while Minnesota was 3-5 on the road. The Vikings have not won at Lambeau Field since 2009.

Even though Minnesota has to go on the road, the Vikings do have Adrian Peterson on their side. Peterson, who came up just shy of the NFL single-season rushing record, ran for 409 yards in two games against the Packers this season. Peterson shredded the Packers defense, averaging 7.4 yards per carry.

Minnesota is coming off a win, but the Vikings will still be the underdogs on Saturday. Green Bay opened as a 9-1/2-point favorite.
