Sportsnet Drops the Wild Six Spots

Mike Brophy handles the NHL Power Rankings for Sportsnet.ca, a trusted source in hockey circles. This week, he has them down six spots to 16, but still the sixth best Western Conference team. That may indicate some drunkenness on the part of Brophy, and it is confirmed by the fact that he has the hapless Coyotes jumping twelve spots because of one good game from one players on their roster.

Why does Brophy have the Wild dropping six spots?

Martin Havlat’s three assists in a 4-1 win over the Lightning gives him 22 points in 18 games against Tampa Bay.

Insightful.

Just so we’re clear, the Yotes jump twelve spots due to a stellar performance from Ray Whitney, and the Wild drop due to a stellar performance from Martin Havlat. Check.
