Minnesota Wild Ship Khudobin To AHL's Houston Aeros

Great job, Anton. . .the shuttle to the airport is waiting for you outside.

Goalie Anton Khudobin, who played a big role in the Minnesota Wild's most recent hot streak, has been sent back to the Houston Aeros of the NHL by the big club. Khudobin started three games for the Wild while goalies Niklas Backstrom and Jose Theodore were recovering from hip injuries. He shut out the Vancouver Canucks 4-0, and followed that up by allowing just one goal in Minnesota's 4-1 victory over the Edmonton Oilers.

Backstrom returned for Minnesota's last game against the Calgary Flames, and shut out the Flames as the Wild romped by a score of 6-0. He is expected to start on Saturday night as well when the Wild travel to San Jose to take on the Sharks, and Theodore is expected to be healthy enough to back him up. Hence Khudobin getting sent to Houston. If Theodore isn't healthy, then Khudobin will be back for the Wild.
