One of the Minnesota Wild's top wing prospects will be sitting out for a little while after an illegal hit. McMillan, a winger for the Houston Aeros who played in four games with the Wild last year and notched a goal and an assist, was suspended for four games by the AHL for an illegal check to the head:
↵↵↵And in breaking news, word just came down this morning that Carson McMillan has been suspended 4 games for an "illegal check to the head" Saturday night against the Rampage. I saw the play and it was a shoulder to shoulder, open-ice check.

What did not help in McMillan's case was that this is the second time he has been suspended for an illegal hit. He sat for four games in January 2010 for an illegal hit against Texas. McMillan has only received a brief call-up tot he NHL, but he is considered to be a solid wing prospect int he Wild system.
