Wild Vs. Blues Final Score: Matt Cullen Nets Winner In Shootout

Minnesota extended its Northwest Division lead to seven points on Saturday with a thrilling 3-2 shootout win over the St. Louis Blues

Captain Mikko Koivu scored twice, including the game-tying goal with less than two minutes remaining in the third period to send the game into overtime.

At the 18:22 mark of the third period, Koivu netted the game-tying power play goal on a wrist shot, assisted by Jared Spurgeon and Cal Clutterbuck. Koivu scored a shorthanded goal in the second period and scored one of Minnesota's two goals in the shootout.

Matt Cullen scored the game-winner in the shootout and is now 4-for-4 on the year in shootouts. Wild netminder Josh Harding, who started to spell regular starter Niklas Backstrom, turned away Kevin Shattenkirk's last attempt for the Blues to seal the win.

The Wild outshot the Blues 32-to-27 and won 38 of the game's 65 faceoffs.

Minnesota has now won four straight and don't play again until Wednesday when they clash with the Nashville Predators
