If the Minnesota Wild are doing well at home and you happen to be attending games at the Xcel Energy Center, then you're going to save some money on gas. The Wild have announced a deal with SuperAmerica, a fuel and convenience store retailer with locations in Minnesota, Wisconsin and South Dakota. Each time the Wild score a goal, win or lose, fans can save one cent per gallon on their gas prices. That doesn't seem like much, but just about everyone is shopping for the place with the best price these days, even if it's just one cent.
↵Plus, if things go as the last game did, then you'd be saving five cents per gallon, considering the Wild's 5-1 victory over the Vancouver Canucks on Thursday. Fans who attend need only take their ticket into SuperAmerica locations after the game through midnight the following day. For some more information and some quotes, Convenience Store Newshas more on the deal.
