Today Is Hockey Day In Minnesota

Many of you are, in all likelihood, partaking in Hockey Day In Minnesota already, but if you're not, there's a way for you to watch the festivities.

Fox Sports North is showing 14 consecutive hours of hockey programming, which kicked off today with an outdoor game between Wayzata and Roseau. There's a second outdoor game coming today as well as Hill-Murray, the top-ranked team in Minnesota, taking on the Moorhead Spuds. Both of those games will be played on Moorhead's new outdoor rink.

Wayzata came out on top in the opener, 2-1 in overtime. The puck is just getting ready to drop for the second game in Moorhead.

Fox Sports North will be showing a couple of other games as well. They will be showing the game between the Gopher men's hockey team and the Denver Pioneers at 5 PM, and cap everything off with coverage of the NHL game between the Minnesota Wild and the St. Louis Blues from the XCel Energy Center starting at 8 PM.

This is the fifth annual Hockey Day in Minnesota, and hopefully it will continue to grow in stature and scope the way it has thus far.
