Mikko Koivu Returns To Practice With Minnesota Wild

Michael Russo of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune is reporting that Minnesota Wild captain Mikko Koivu is practicing with the team today, the first time he's practiced with the team since breaking his hand against Anaheim on February 18.

The Wild are 3-3-2 in the eight games since Kaptain Koivu's injury, and could use him back as they continue to pursue a Western Conference playoff berth. As things sit today, the Wild are one point behind the Los Angeles Kings for the eighth and final spot in the Western Conference playoffs.

Russo reports that Koivu doesn't look comfortable holding his stick yet, but it appears he's close to giving things a go for the Wild.

Minnesota hosts the Colorado Avalanche tomorrow night, and then embark on a four-game road trip that will take them to Nashville, Dallas, Vancouver, and San Jose.
