Defending the Blue Line has announced that they'll be hosting a charity hockey game featuring NHL players on Sunday, October 28. Zach Parise will be headlining the event that will be held at Mariucci Arena on the University of Minnesota Campus. Other NHL players who will be participating will be announced on Friday afternoons, via KFAN radio and Defending the Blue Line. If participating players sign a contract to play overseas during the lockout, they will be replaced for the game.

If the NHL and NHLPA reach an agreement before the event, DTBL will be either offering an alternative game or converting the money collected into a charitable donation. Tickets will cost $20 in advance or $30 at the door, with all proceeds going to DTBL. Tickets for the game will go on sale Monday, October 8, and all game worn jerseys will be autographed and auctioned at the conclusion of the game.
