Bruins Vs. Wild Final Score: Minnesota Blanks Boston For 2-0 Victory

The Minnesota Wild snapped a seven-game winning streak on Sunday afternoon by defeating the Boston Bruins, 2-0. Niklas Backstrom picked up the shutout by making 48 saves, making him the No. 1 star for the game.

The game was tied at zero midway through the second period until Chad Rau came up with a lookoff goal on Tim Thomas. Rau (click the image below to see the animation) turns his head away from the net while coming down on the wing and fires off a shot that gets past Thomas for a shortside goal.

About five minutes later, Matt Cullen scored a power play goal, his 12th goal of the season. And that would be all of the scoring in the game. Thomas made 27 saves on 29 shots.

The Wild are off until Thursday when they visit the Florida Panthers.
